The UTIC Group (Ulysse Trading & Industrial Companies) which I have the honor to chair today has become, in almost five decades, a major player in the Tunisian economy present throughout the country through 6 poles of activity:

• Packaging
• Tourism
• Services and Finances

The UTIC Group is a corporate culture. A culture deeply imbued with common sense and coupled with a constant concern for doing things according to the rules of the art. This is undoubtedly the hallmark of Taoufik Chaïbi, the founder of the Group. This culture which he has instilled has become over time the hallmark of the Group.

This is how the UTIC Group was naturally able to become the local - and regional - partner of major brands and international brands with which it practices “open book” management; by privileging, every day a little more, a decentralized, autonomous management model, based on the respect of commitments and by instituting simple and transparent rules.

Sufficiently singular to be noted, the UTIC Group has set up a Supervisory Board which completes the questions of good governance which are at the very heart of its culture. The one that presided over its development and which gives it its current legitimacy. The one I hear today promoting and inscribing over time.

This culture translates into values and a state of mind. It is this state of mind that allows us to build and perpetuate our relationships, with strong partners, talented collaborators and, ultimately, more and more customers.
